About us

Legal help today — and change that holds tomorrow.

Founded to protect the rights of the people who have suffered most from Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

We provide free legal help and, at the same time, work on systemic change: where we find problem areas in the law, the organisation advocates for the changes needed.

Practical help for one person, and change that protects thousands.

What we do

01

Legal help

Free consultations, drafting applications and appeals, representation before the relevant state authorities.

  • Social support — statuses, state payments and benefits
  • Support in criminal proceedings and in missing-person cases
02

Advocacy for change

In the course of providing legal help, Names.ua identifies systemic obstacles that keep people from exercising their rights. Our ultimate goal is to bring about the corresponding changes in law and regulation.

03

Legal education

Names.ua produces information materials to raise public legal awareness, and holds online and offline question-and-answer events for the families of missing and fallen service members.

Names.ua is a voluntary association founded in 2026 to protect human rights and freedoms. Its main purpose is to support those affected by the aggression of the Russian Federation — above all, the families of fallen and missing service members.

The organisation was founded by Kateryna Androsova, an advocate and human rights lawyer with long personal experience of providing free legal aid to those harmed by the war, with legislative drafting experience at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, and with a part in developing legislative and other initiatives on identifying fallen defenders under the international DVI (INTERPOL) standards.

That experience shaped how we work: legal help for one person, combined with education and work on changes that remove the cause of a problem rather than its consequence.
